Trinity Church – Affixius

We have a meeting today with a new client for a church hall conversion in Loughborough. We’re looking forward to it because they are creative people who want an interesting interior for their new premises. This project should be a lot of fun.

Glebe Farm

We visited site yesterday to continue talks with the planners regarding some amendments to the scheme at Glebe Farm in Glenfield, Leicester. We (client, planner & architect) are all really happy with the progress of this project so far, although we still have a long way to go.

Planning Permission for a Barn Conversion in Prestwold, Leicestershire

Walters Architects have received planning approval for another barn conversion in Leicestershire. This is the third barn conversion we have been involved with in the last 6 months as well as a new build barn, new stables, a horse worker and a new farm house. Leicestershire’s rural buildings have never looked so good.

Oscar Niemeyer

Oscar Niemeyer died earlier in the week aged 104. The great Brazilian modernist architect was one of the very best and has been described by Lord Norman Foster as a legend of Architect.

If only all architects could demonstrate such conviction.

God bless Oscar, you will be missed.

Trinity Hall, Loughborough

Walters Architects have just successfully secured a ‘Change of Use’ planning application to convert this community hall in to an office facility. The client is a creative company and so we are now looking forward to presenting ideas to them in the coming weeks.
