The contractors have made a meaningful start at the old Victorian Laundry House project in North Leicestershire.
The ceilings in the new kitchen and lounge areas have been removed, walls have been knocked down and the space has been completely opened up to provide a much better understanding of the area we will be working in.
Because the house was once a Laundry House to the Estate, on the opposite side of the road, we have discovered a number of wells in the rear garden which has slowed us down a little but other than that great progress is being made.
It is great when we can completely rip out a house like this as we have already been able to amend the structural design to make the space feel even more open and free flowing.
We cant wait to see this one finished.
A quick visit to site this morning (and what a morning) to check on progress of our SIP’s panel construction for an extension to a care home in Leicester.
The process is very quick, all the inner walls are up and we expect the roof will be on next week.
We look forward to this phase being finished before we start interior works on the main building.
