This modernist conversion is almost complete and we cant wait for it to be finished.
The client is delighted with the transformation (look at the difference between images 1 & 2) and the scheme will most certainly feature on our new, soon to be launched, website.
The client purchased the house last year with planning permission to extend on the ground floor but the new owners simply needed another bedroom in the loft. One thing lead to another and…
We have over doubled the space and included a second storey which takes in great views across the rear garden. It was a tricky one to get past planning but well worth the hassle.
We are delighted for the client and hope they enjoy their new home.
Walters Architects have started work on this Barn Conversion, new annex and alterations to a Grade II listed Farm House in Leicestershire.
There will be traditional and contemporary elements with new access and new landscaping.
It is a stunning place and we look forward to being involved in whole project.
Walters Architects are just starting their second building using SIP (Structural Insulated Panels) panels. It is a really interesting processes but can be a little tricky as the building needs to be exact (no whimsical client changes) before the panels can be manufactured.
We will let you know how things progress…stay tuned.
Following on from the previous post, it only seems right to include some of Will Alsop’s better known buildings.
I wasn’t really a fan but I totally agree with his concept of stilts. All new buildings should be elevated to allow for better public space on the ground.
He was an ideas man and we respect that.
