We love brick. it can be a lot more interesting than you think.
We have just completed a design for a new kitchen/dining room and bedroom extension to a house situated within a Conservation Area and neighbouring a Listed Building (it has relevance) and these visuals were prepared to accompany our application and help the client visualise the scheme. The client is delighted with the results.
I have a new phone and it’s brilliant. I’m able to have a subject page constantly open which automatically up dates news on things like design. If I like an article I can share it on Twitter and Facebook. All I need to know now is if I can blog from it. Remember, good design will always save the day and watch this space for some fancy blogging.
It now looks as though this project is going ahead. Good client with big ideas, we are looking forward to this one.
We have recently completed another modern extension for a new client in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire. The scheme is within a conservation area and was designed to be in total contrast to the existing workers cottages.
We are delighted with the proposal which was mainly driven by a good design conscious client.
And now to planning…
There was a great television program about the British Architect Richard Rogers on BBC1 last night. The ‘Imagine’ documentary featured the architect in light of his current ‘Inside Out’ exhibition at the RA. I absolutely love his work and cant help but be inspired by his energy at 80. I need to get to the RA before the 13th October.
