New House
Our
client’s aim was to divide their existing garden into two separate
building plots, with the intention of maintaining their existing
property on one site and constructing a new family home on the
other.
The
site is on the edge of the Local Authority’s settlement boundary and
the proposal could only be achieved via a shared access drive. This
resulted in the loss of both front gardens and led to extensive
negotiations with the Planners.
The
brief required a flexible first floor plan which would allow each
bedroom to incorporate en suites or larger bedrooms, depending on
the end user’s domestic requirements.
This
resulted in a new build detached house with four bedrooms, a utility
room, ground floor cloakroom, large kitchen dining area, lounge,
formal dining room and family bathroom.
