Building Extensions A majority of properties have the potential to be extended for additional use, either for domestic or commercial benefit. These extensions can vary greatly in a commercial setting but domestically they are usually single or two storey extensions. Most building extensions require Planning Permission and Building Regulations Approval. Some buildings fall under Local Authority Permitted Development rights which means the scheme may be exempt from Planning Permission but all building works must achieve Building Regulations approval. Walters Architects is happy to advise on Permitted Development issues but for further information visit the Planning Portal via our links page. |
