Code for Sustainable Homes The Code for Sustainable Homes is a nationally recognised system for measuring sustainable design and construction of new homes. The code was introduced by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) in 2006 and came into affect in 2007. The Code requires all new homes, apartments and houses, to carry a ‘Code Assessment’ between 0 – 6 indicating the level of sustainable consideration undertaken in the construction of the property. Walters Architects are registered Code for Sustainable Homes Assessors. For more information please visit the Code for Sustainable Homes website via our links page. |
